Origin Story
Three years ago, a diverse group of four crypto natives came together with a simple, but ambitious goal: to tell a sci-fi-inspired story exploring the philosophy and ethos at the core of the Web3 movement: decentralization, and its opposite: centralization.
This group includes DaVoice, an Axie Infinity OG, community volunteer and co-founder of the MysticNode Ronin Validator, which is 
trusted by more than 11,000 Ronin community members and has been in operation since the Ronin Saigon DPOS testnet. As a long-time community member, DaVoice is dedicated to supporting and bringing value to the Ronin ecosystem.
After many weeks of conversation, we came up with concepts for the two forces at the core of our universe: the Metric, an all-seeing, all-knowing machine intelligence controlling the lives of trillions of beings residing in the Centopoly, a galaxy-spanning corporatocracy, and beyond. And, Hash, a lone being who created Cypher, which is the only technology that stands a chance of freeing individuals from the Metric and fighting back against the AI. Over the next several years, we made great progress at bringing our project, Legends of Cypher (LoC) to life. Our motto is: Story First. Our universe needed compelling characters, rich environments, stunning, but believable technologies, and a storyline that fans would enjoy. We’ve achieved some successes, releasing an initial Legends of Cypher NFT collection consisting of art from our first short story: Meru 36: Destiny’s Fall, which helped to fund the next stage of our project: fleshing out the Legends of Cypher universe with new comics (we developed four), original music, deeper lore and improving our web presence.

All of this brings us here, to this moment: coming to the Ronin community to ask for its support to help make Legends of Cypher a greater success.

Roadmap: Legends of Cypher on Ronin
Phase I: Bring Membership NFTs to Ronin
The Cosmos Pass, Cosmos Pass Immortal, and Cypherian Pass are existing LoC NFTs that provide a variety of benefits to holders, which will be migrated to Ronin.

Cypherian Pass: This is a utility NFT with a unique perk: free lifetime access to all future Legends of Cypher digital comics, and exclusive discounts on print, merchandise and collectibles.

Cosmos Pass and Cosmos Pass Immortal: These ‘SoulBound’ NFTs provide a lifetime of benefits to LoC community members, including airdrops of future NFTs (which will be tradeable), the ability to mint NFTs with exclusive traits from our planned Legends of Cypher Faction PFP collection (see below).
Holders of the Cosmos Pass Immortal NFT will be able to immortalize themselves as a character in the Legends of Cypher universe who will appear in future comics, books and other content.
Also, all minters of the Cosmos Pass Immortal and Cosmos Pass will receive an immediate airdrop of the Cypherian Pass.
Sales of these NFTs will provide us with the resources to bring the next chapter of our saga to life in Legends of Cypher Season One, a series up to 12 comics, 40-60 pages each, and prepare for Phase II of our roadmap.
Phase II: PfP Collection & other NFTs
The Legends of Cypher Universe is populated by unique Factions, groups with various relationships to Hash and the Metric, such as the TechnoMages, Prospectors and Scions of Ogo. We plan to launch a series of Faction-based PfPs. Holders of the Cosmos Pass and Cosmos Pass Immortal NFTs will be eligible to mint PfPs with exclusive traits, which will make them among the most sought-after assets in the Legends of Cypher NFT collection.
We also plan to launch NFT versions of our LoC Season One comics, unique Faction NFT badges (artwork for badges has already been created) and other NFTs based on in-universe people, locations and ships. Cosmos Pass and Cosmos Pass Immortal holders will receive airdrops of Faction badges and other NFTs in the collection.
Phase III: An Expansive Media Universe and Tokens
We think Legends of Cypher is a story that can be told across a variety of media, which is why you’ll see comics, short films, books and other content on the LoC universe page.
Phase III of our roadmap involves looking for opportunities go greatly expand the Legends of Cypher media footprint across books, music (via the release of a LoC soundtrack) and even games. LoC is a great setting for RPGs, immersive alternate reality gaming experiences, collectible card games, and even massive online multiplayer games.
We’re also looking to experiment with gamifying some of the concepts at the core of the Legends of Cypher story using cryptocurrency. Pending Sky Mavis review and approval, these tokens would be launched on Ronin and LoC NFT holders, would be eligible for an airdrop at the token generation event. Cosmos Pass and Cosmos Pass Immortal holders would receive a higher percentage of the airdrop.
Expanding LoC in this way will require us to have the right human and financial resources, and having a home on the Ronin chain and access to expertise within the community and at Sky Mavis will be a big benefit.

Having witnessed Ronin’s tremendous growth and success from the inside makes us highly appreciative of all that the community has been able to achieve. And, our goal is to become an integral part of Ronin while making sure community members supporting LoC can help shape our story and benefit from the project’s growth and success.
This will be especially true for Cosmos Pass and Cosmos Pass Immortal holders who will receive NFT airdrops, the ability to mint PfPs with unique and sought-after traits, be eligible for future LoC token airdrops, receive free digital comics, early access to LoC merch and much more.
